The problem Spousora solves

Online dating in Nigeria, and across much of Africa, carries a well-known trust problem. Profiles can be outdated, identities can be misrepresented, and intentions are often unclear until real time and emotional investment has already been spent. Spousora addresses this directly by putting identity verification and human review at the center of the product, rather than treating it as an optional add-on.

How Spousora works

• Human-reviewed verification — every member completes an identity and photo review with a trained reviewer before their profile becomes visible to others.
• Stated intentions up front — members declare what they are looking for (marriage, a long-term relationship, or getting to know people) as a primary matching criterion.
• Consent-based connections — a conversation only opens once both members have agreed to connect; there is no unsolicited messaging.
